Consider Dr. Reaksecker Family Dentistry your Dental Healthcare Plus Snoring Solutions Resource

Dr. Reaksecker has focused his efforts resolving your snoring and sleep apnea issues.
Using high technology techniques he has specially designed a night guard, dental appliance
mouth piece; The Ultimate Snore Guard, helping you, and others around you, obtain a full restful nights sleep.

Recent research has shown that your tongue can fall back and block your airway while sleeping. If the tongue can be controlled, it is possible to control snoring and sleep apnea. Dr. Reaksecker has developed a revolutionary, comfortable, custom dental appliance that controls the tongue while minimally advancing the lower jaw. The concept is simple, the mouth piece fits over your lower teeth and keeps the tongue from moving up and back, which prevents airway blockage. This design eliminates the drawbacks of other retainer designs; The Ultimate Snore Guard is more comfortable and less likely to cause TMJ (temporal mandibular jaw) dysfunction.

Snoring:

Snoring is the vibration of respiratory structures and the resulting sound, due to obstructed air movement during breathing while sleeping. If you snore, you may or may not have sleep apnea.

Sleep Apnea:

Sleep Apnea is a sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing during sleep. Each episode, called an apnea, lasts from 10 seconds to the longest of 120 seconds. This causes missed breaths which occur repeatedly throughout sleep. The result is reduced blood oxygen by greater than 4%. As you can imagine, lack of oxygen during sleep can be detrimental to your health. Sleep apnea is dianosed with an overnight sleep study called polysomnogram (PSG). Snoring is almost a uniform finding with this syndrome.
